STATE OF THE NATION

17th May, 2013 - 09:29 AM | Posted in David's Army

Nigeria is for Jesus whether the devil likes it or not. Dear people of God we all have a part to play in bringing peace and tranquility to our nation. Our hews and cry is centred on the bombings here and there and the recent plane disaster which had claimed hundreds of lives. But I want to call our attention to the rate at which buildings and bridges are collapsing, were there no construction engineers who supervised those constructions? Roads constructed in the sixties and seventies are better and lasting than those in the year two thousand why? An average Nigerian want to cut corners even if it is to the destruction of the next person. What is wrong with us?

Also the moral decadence in the nation is on the increase. Our dailies encourage this by putting nude ladies on their front page. There is hardly a day that there will not be a record of rape in our dailies. The most saddening aspect of this is that girls of tender age (two to ten years) are involved with those who are old enough to be their father or grandfather. We are calling on the managing directors of our dailies to desist in publishing nude / half nude pictures; this is not good for the young generation.

Also I want to call on all good citizen of this country to think of what we can do to make Nigeria better and not just continue to point accusing fingers on our leaders. Do we love this Country? What sacrifice have I made, what have I done to see that it is well with all and sundry. Pray daily for our nation. The leaders and especially our President that the Lord will visit us and bring peace into our Country.
