At the meeting, of the Church of Nigeria Mothers Union Executive, held in Sept. last year, the entire house resolved that the payment of two hundred naira only (N200.00) per every woman should be an annual involvement. We are therefore pleading with our women in the Diocese to participate fully in this venture. Also for those who can pay more we are soliciting for your cooperation and the Lord will bless you richly for doing so.
DIOCESAN WOMEN’S WORK
We thank God for how far He had helped us on the skill Acquisition building. To the glory of God the building is at the roofing stage. The estimate for the roofing is about six hundred thousand naira (N600,000) as given by the contractor handling the project. We are calling on all you good people of Igbomina West Diocese to rise up and let us build (Neh. 2:18b). Apart from the roofing we still need money for plastering, electrification, plumbing and equipping the centre. May the Lord depend on you to complete the project.
Diocesan Kitchen Equipments and Interior Decoration of Bishop’s Court and assistant to Churches
At the inauguration of the Diocese, there was no cooking equipment on ground, all the equipments we have been using are either my personal ones or borrowed from the Cathedral. We then thought it necessary to purchase those for the Diocesan House, thus at one of the Executive meetings in 2011 a committee was put in place to share out these items to Churches. I want to register my appreciation for the prompt response of all the churches and pray that the Lord will continually bless and uphold each one of you in Jesus name, Amen.
As to our contribution towards the building of the Bishop’s Court, the Women Organizations took it upon herself to be responsible for the interior decoration of the house. The sum of two hundred and sixteen thousand naira only (N216,000.00) was donated by all the churches for this project; you will never lack anything good, all the days of your lives in Jesus name, Amen.
It is our belief that from what God has given, we should give back to God. So from our proceed of the year 2010 to 2011 the sum of One hundred thousand naira (N100,000.00) was donated for the building of Anglican Church of Ascension and Church of Resurrection all in Iludun-Oro Deanery.
