For the theme of one day Synod, the Diocesan quoted from the gospel of St. Luke 6:47-48 “Whosoever comes to me and hears my sayings and does them, I will show him whom he is like; He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it. For it was founded on the rock”.
The man of God explained the necessity behind the one day Synod that is to come together to lay the foundation of the new Diocese for everything depend on the foundation i.e. the soil, the material things and thirdly, the resource person. These need to take cognizance book into before laying a foundation. He made reference to a foolish builder that starts a building without effective beginning. (Lk 6:49). The rock we need to build foundation is Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 3:1). In (1 Cor 3:12) talked about kinds of material to be used which also will be tested and the material is you here present.
The man of God placed a rhetoric question, what qualities of material were the person present is? He reiterated further that your attitude towards giving matters on this issue. He further charged all to please agree with one another to achieve success. He acknowledged that definitely there would be certain people who will like to draw the hand of the clock back but that we should not imitate such but the progressive ones.
He commended the leading role of the Cathedral by providing the take off grant and the inauguration expenses. Here he charged all to have a team spirit for the furtherance of the Diocese.
In his concluding part, He charged all the three categories of people to sit tight while some are doing one thing others should involve themselves in another work in order to build a magnificent building
