The Rt. Rev.J.O. Akinola in his charge explained the meaning of the word “To build” in the Biblical contest that is used and to the founding of a family. He made reference to Rachael and Leah that the two build the house of Jacob. He reiterated that the church is called a building for we are joint workers with God and we are God’s field (1 Cor.3:9)
Jesus is the cornerstone into which all other are fifty framed together. Jesus also said that “on Peter he will build His church” this happened when Simon Peter confessed that “Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God”. The Bishop says that, He is not considering the physical structure of a building but to consider individual Christians who are to be restructured in Christ and to be established in their faith. This means, to build a modern day Anglicans who were absolutely emerged in the river of faith in Christ i.e. who are to understand the Anglican Article of Faith and soaked within. He went further that we should put away all that put asunder, and put an end to all sort of malice within and out.
